The Platinum Pigmented ink is quick drying, water resistant and improved chromogenic. Not only are pigmented inks water resistant but they resist light or UV degradation making the ink suitable for writing in diary, letters and where you want a more permanent ink.
Pigmented ink creates a bright coloured result that is hard to spread so it makes clearer line edges than dye inks.
This ink does have the potential to damage pens if not used according to instructions. This ink can dry and clog fountain pen feeds if left too long. It is only suitable for pens that are in daily use and if the pen is to be left more than a couple of days without use then we advise flushing the pen and converter.

Comparing to water-based ink with, this ink tends to be clog when the pen is not used daily. If you use your fountain pen with the ink everyday, there may not be any issues, but in case you have long period without use of your the fountain pen, it may be be clogged.
Here are some tips about using pigment ink in your fountain pen.
- Please pull out the ink cartridge/converter you are using and clean the nib completely before you use the carbon ink.
- If you do not use the ink for more than one week, please pull out the ink and wash the ink converter thoroughly.
We recommend this pigment ink especially to heavy users who love to write and write. The more you write, the better it performs.
Caution! Please note ink in clothing /hand cannot be washed away easily. Be careful!
