Packaged in a beautiful glass bottle, the Herbin 1798 collection features a range of beautiful colours.

Kyanite du Népal - is a bright almost turquoise blue, with silver particles adding a satin finish for a lustrous effect. Since the discovery of the famous mining region of Nepal, Kali Gandaki, Kyanite has been recognized as a noble mineral because of its similarities with the rich tones of sapphire.

1798 commemorates a significant year in J. Herbin's history. At this time, the French Revolution was ending, and the Herbin company, founded in 1670, was growing. In 1798 the company relocated to expand their production capabilities and the influence of their inks and sealing wax.

From the beginning, J. Herbin distinguished itself from its competitors by offering a wide range of colours for the fountain pen inks. The names chosen for each colour are very poetic to preserve the originality of the brand and as a French tradition.

J. Herbin is the oldest name in ink production in the world.

The ink comes in an ink bottle of 50 ml. This ink is pH-neutral and water based and can be used safely in fountain pens.

The ink is:

  • Non-toxic
  • pH neutral
  • Lightfast
  • Water based
  • Uses all natural dyes
  • Fast drying

Made in France by J Herbin.
