Diamine's Archival Registrar's Blue Black Ink is an iron gall ink in a 100 ml or a 30 ml bottle. It is the official ink used to record births, deaths and marriages. Initially, when writing, the ink is blue and then oxidizes black. This is a permanent ink suitable for official documents as it is fully waterproof.
The ink is suitable for fountain pens. However, it requires your fountain pens to be regularly and thoroughly cleaned, and not to be left to dry out filled with ink.
Diamine has manufactured ink in England since 1864. Diamine ink is safe to use in all brands of fountain pens and is one of the finest inks available.
